National Mortgage Lender Appoints New Chief Executive Officer

Ron Millard to Lead Next Phase of Expansion at Envoy Mortgage.

HOUSTON, TX, January 3, 2018 – Envoy Mortgage announced today that Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Patrick Walden, will retire from his CEO role and Ron Millard, currently Envoy’s Executive Vice President, Strategic Initiatives, will succeed Walden as CEO. Pat Walden will continue to serve as Envoy’s Chairman of the Board.

“I have gotten to know Ron well over the last couple of years, as he has become a key member of Envoy’s executive team, and he brings a wealth of executive experience,” said Pat Walden. “Ron’s leadership, experience and passion will serve Envoy well as the company enters its next phase of growth.”

Millard joined Envoy in 2016 and has focused the majority of his time on strategic initiatives. Millard’s background includes significant experience in financial services and hands-on operating experience as well as serving on the boards of numerous private companies.

Walden joined Envoy in 2008, has had a lengthy career in senior leadership positions with a number of organizations in the mortgage banking industry, and has served as Envoy’s CEO for the past three and a half years. During his tenure, Envoy grew from a Houston-focused lender with $700 million in annual production to a national player with over $4.0 billion in production.

“Over the last two years, we have enhanced our executive team with proven leaders that together form an extraordinary team,” said Walden. “The future at Envoy is exceedingly bright and now is a good time for me to step down from my executive role.”
