Castellanos Family

Maribel Castellanos is a Surgical Technologist in a hospital for elective surgeries in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. During the height of the pandemic, her caseload slowed dramatically because patients did not want to have voluntary surgeries when a significant number of Covid-19 patients were in the hospital at the same time. Maribel is grateful her caseload has now returned to normal levels.

Maribel is a single mom of a 12-year-old boy who attends school in a hybrid environment as of last year. It was difficult for Maribel to find time to help her son with online schoolwork, so she is happy he is learning again in-person.

Simultaneously, she is also in the military reserves and is currently receiving her military school training.

For Maribel, the biggest challenge of the pandemic was not being able to see the people she loves and interact with them.

However, one of the greatest blessings she received was closing on her home with Envoy Mortgage in September 2020. Her biggest hope for the future she said laughingly is paying off her mortgage!
