Community Involvement Has a BIG Impact

With the holidays approaching, we’re starting to think about gathering with our families and friends. Many people are also pausing to reflect on the positive things in their lives and how they can sprinkle around some ‘gratitude.’ If you’re looking for a way to give back – or need a few inspirational ideas – here are some community-building activities that can make a BIG difference where you live:

Coordinate a Community Cleanup
Start with your family, chat with your neighbors and even co-workers about a cleanup project in your community. Pick a day and time and then mobilize your group! Have fun and make a difference.

Support Small Businesses
Keep it local! Dine at your favorite neighborhood restaurant, buy goods at the farmer’s market and shop local merchants – these are some of the ways that help support small businesses and your community’s economic stability. Enjoy what your community has
to offer.

Choose a Cause
Do you like to walk or bike? Is a local school hosting a food or clothing drive? Maybe there’s a community pantry in dire need of donations. Check around and find the cause you want to support – or take the lead and organize an event that supports your community!

Become a Volunteer
If you like animals, see if your local animal shelter needs help. Maybe your place of worship or the adult care organization in your area needs volunteers to provide meals for elderly members of your community. There are so many ways to volunteer and make an impact in your community.

Envoy Gives Back to Communities
At Envoy, we’re committed to improving lives and communities by providing a world-class mortgage experience that our team members and customers love. Envoy also supports numerous local and national charities and organizations and help our team members invest in the local communities where we serve in high-impact ways.
We do so by providing support to our branches with hyperlocal philanthropic efforts.

Envoy also launched a new grassroots nationwide give-back program, Gift of Home. The program was created out of a need to improve our communities and the lives of the people who live in them. In 2021, we gifted over $160,000 in mortgage payments and gift tax assistance to essential workers impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. In 2022, we’re assisting first-time homebuyers with up to $55,000 in mortgage payments and gift tax assistance.
