Williams Family

Mark Williams is a countertop installer in Detroit, Michigan. When the pandemic began, he started operating by appointment only. The pandemic created an abnormally high demand for countertop installations, and at any given time he remains backed up with eight weeks of work.

Mark has a few close friends and family who died due to the pandemic, so it was very hard grieving those losses. His own wife even lost her job as a waitress and decided to stay home with their two children to help them complete their online learning assignments.

His biggest challenge were the psychological effects that the pandemic left behind on him and his family. His kids miss their friends, participating in school events and staying active with activities, like skateboarding and basketball.

Mark is grateful that he is still able to work and put food on the table for his family, but his biggest hope for 2021 is that he can finally apply for a refinance and that the world returns back to normal.
