Sedlmeier Family

Matthew Sedlmeier is an electrician in Waukesha, Wisconsin where he lives with his wife and eight-month-old son.

Prior to his current position, he served in the U.S. Navy as an Electrician’s Mate for three years and was stationed in Guam and San Diego. During his three-year tour, he also participated in humanitarian tours in Thailand and the Philippines.

Matthew’s biggest challenge during the pandemic was financial instability and never knowing if he was going to receive enough electrical work to support his family, especially with another son on the way in August. Fortunately, he was able to maintain steady hours, but his wife was laid off from her accounting position because local businesses were closing.

Matthew and his wife closed on their home in March 2020. Fortunately, the pandemic gave them time to renovate their new home!

So far, Matthew doesn’t know what to hope for this year, but he does hope that his work hours increase and that his family remains healthy.
