Ramunno Family

October 25, 2021

Stephen Ramunno is a Police Officer with the Everett Police Department in Methuen, Massachusetts. He has worked as a police officer for five years and loves his job as well as lending his community a helping hand.

At the beginning of the pandemic the police department was scrambling to find PPE. His community is so close-knit that they all stepped up to forage and provide the necessary PPE for the police department.

As an essential, front-line, public employee, Stephen was vaccinated very early and uses his police status to go through great lengths to help his community. He is proud to put on his uniform and care for others.

Stephen has also been an instrumental member of the Elliot Family Resource Center, a local food pantry. He has witnessed a spike in food insecurity in the area caused by the after effects of the pandemic.

His biggest challenge is seeing so many people in need on a daily basis, as well as the increase in mental health cases.

Stephen is also a U.S. Army veteran and did one tour in Afghanistan as a medic. He has always felt called to serve others.
