Boos Family

March 9, 2021

Shanell Boos works for a community non-profit organization, in Saginaw, Michigan, that organizes family events and support groups in the community. Due to the pandemic, her hours were cut by 50%. She was also simultaneously applying for a mortgage with Envoy and was afraid she was going to lose her dream home. Fortunately, through various alternative avenues she was able to maintain financial stability and closed on her home in September 2020.

Her grandmother planned to move into the new home also, but was hospitalized and soon died from the coronavirus. The loss has devasted her and her children, but they are thankful they each recovered from the coronavirus and are together and well.

Shanell’s biggest challenge in 2020 was the social isolation and the loss of her grandmother, but the biggest blessing was closing on her new home. It was exactly what she wanted and needed.
