10 Fall Decorating Ideas You Never Thought Of

Use cut branches.

Head to your backyard or neighborhood park to collect fallen branches and twigs to use for decoration. Arrange these branches in the middle of centerpieces, vases or make a wreath to bring a little of the outside in!

Make a wreath.

Head to your nearest craft store to purchase an inexpensive faux greenery to weave through any bare wreath for a pop of color and instant upgrade!

Put your food on display.

The best way to symbolize that harvest season has arrived is to display fall foods like apples, squash, artichokes, pears, cinnamon sticks, coffee beans and nuts. Add them to any centerpiece, basket or bowl for extra coziness.

Use your scarves as an accent.

Most of us have the same style throughout our home as we do in our closet.  So, head to your closet and break out a couple fall scarves and use them as table runners or placemats under some of your favorite knick-knacks.

Make your own pillow covers.

Head back to the craft store to select fall fabric and sew some quick envelope pillow covers. These will help you spruce up throw pillows that you already have.

Display some pumpkins.

It isn’t fall without pumpkins and gourds! Add some extra texture to your home and purchase them in different colors, shapes, sizes and textures. How Gourdous!

Update your frames with printables.

Spruce up the picture frames on your walls by going online and downloading some free fall printables to insert inside the frames.

Display your blankets.

Break out your coziest blankets and arrange them on your couch, hang them on a display ladder or store them in a snug wooden bin.

Decorate with baskets.

For added texture, decorate your home with baskets. Use these baskets for centerpieces on your dining room or coffee table or save or use them for blanket storage.

Check your garage.

Head out to your garage and see if you have any materials available for a DIY project. Some scrap wood, extra paint and a few stencils is perfect for making fall signs!
