Vacaville Branch Supports 21st Airlift Squadron from Travis Air Force Base

21ST AIRLIFT SQUADRON FROM TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE

Vacaville, CA – November 29, 2011 –Envoy Mortgage’s Vacaville, California office has initiated a office-wide volunteer charitable program to gather donations for members of the 21^st Airlift Squadron from Travis Air Force Base. The squadron operates around-the-clock C-17 missions moving troops, supplies and equipment through the world. Recently, President Obama, under a special directive, said the 21^st Airlift Squadron will be responsible for bringing troops home from Iraq by December 31.

“The program is to enable our employees to show squadron members how much we appreciate them working tirelessly through the holidays,” said Shelly Gray, marketing representative at Envoy’s Vacaville office. “We imagine the tremendous joy of the troops in Iraq when they will see the 21^st Airlift Squadron touchdown in Iraq, knowing they will finally be coming home. It’s a real celebration and is made possible by the important work of squadron members.”

Employees at Envoy are encouraged to make cash donations by December 2, after which they will be sent to the 21^st Airlift Squadron Booster Club, a non-profit organization at Travis Air Force Base. Gift donations will be given out to service members and families during a holiday party on December 16.

“This party is a special opportunity for our squadron members and their families to spend time with one another and to celebrate the holiday season after being away for much of 2011,” said Capt. Mary A Johnson of the 21^st Airlift Squadron Booster Club.
